Govardhana Puja

Govardhana Puja is Wednesday, Oct. 29th!  The day starts off with the morning program, including Damodarastakam prayers, and a 8:15am class recounting the pastimes under Govardhana Hill.

The evening festivities begin with a 5:30pm go-puja in front of the temple, giving children and adults the opportunity to decorate a cow and offer her sweets.  More Govardhana Hill pastimes will be remembered during the evening class at 6:00pm.

And, of course, you won’t want to miss the highlight of the event: a 7:00pm Govardhana abhishek and arati, while devotees enthusiastically sing and dance around Govardhana Hill. The evening wraps up with a 8:00pm feast and final darshan of the deities.

Our wonderful devotee cooks are requested to bring their special food preparations to the pujari room before 6:00pm.   (And if you don’t cook, you could bring fresh fruit!)
