Bhakta Seva’s BBQ Sauce Recipe


2 1/2 Cups Tomato Paste
1/3 Cup Butter
1/4 Cup Water
1/4 tsp. Hing
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tblsp. Molasses
1 Tblsp. Salt
1 tsp. Crushed Chillis
1 1/2 tsp. Dried Parsley
3/4 Cup Lemon Juice
2 Tblsp. Soy Sauce
1/2 Cup Mustard (see mustard recipe below)

Put all ingredients in a pot and simmer on medium/low heat for 45 minutes, stirring regularly, until the sauce is a deep, reddish brown color.

Mustard recipe:
(This can be mixed in a bowl separately, and then added to the rest of the BBQ sauce.)
3 Tblsp. Mustard Powder
3 Tblsp. Water
2 tsp. Lemon Juice
2 tsp. Sugar
2 tsp. Salt
2 Tblsp. Chickpea Flour

wow! bhakta seva!!! do you have his pie crust recipe?

i will have to try this out in honor of the gentle giant.

The recipe came from Gokula Taruni dd. She said she might have the pie crust because it was the same one he used for kachoris (or something, I forget what she said) and she may have that one.

She is busy with school so will checklater.
