New Deity Pujaris
Sometimes we may feel like a fan that has no life. And then we discover that we are unplugged. Just by plugging in that fan and connecting to the source (our heart) miracles can happen. Rupanooga experienced this. He revealed his heart by opening his mouth and making some requests in regards to Deity worship and here is what happened.
On the request of Rupanooga P. the following devotees have newly agreed to dress the Deities on a regular basis: Purnima dasi, Archana dasi, Devananda Pandit das, Tattvadarsana das, Brikasanga das, Krpamaya das, Nityo Dita das, and HH Varsana Maharaj. Thank you very much all very much for taking the leap into the unfathomable realm of the bliss of dressing & serving Their Lordships.
Sharing with the devotees at an evening gathering, Nityo Dita P. expressed genuine happiness in the privilege of dressing Radha Vrindavanath after 10 years of separation. He said he could see that Krsna, as the center, can bring us back together and connect us again.
When requested by Rupanooga P to dress Srimati Radharani, Varsana Maharaj said he would dress, if Rupanooga P agreed to be his partner (dressing Vrindaban Candra). And so the pair united in service and dressed Their Lordships. This marks another milestone as it has been over a year since Varsana Maharaj has served in this capacity. Srimati Radharani looked happy.

Simple Living, High Thinking Issue #3
In this week’s issue, a strong revelation appears!
Some of us have developed a compulsion…something we never thought we would have…a very strong desire to weed!!! Now, even when we take a walk through the forest, our first instinct upon seeing a perfectly natural arrangement of weeds is to grab our shovel and have at them without mercy. This is strange….a wholly unplanned development and side-effect of this wonderful garden seva. Tapah, what have you done to us!?
For all the dirt from last week on what’s up in the gardens of New Vrindaban Dham, click here to head on over to the Club 108 blog for some “Simple Living and High Thinking”

My Dear Kirtanananda,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter (undated), and I have noted the contents carefully. I am very pleased to learn of your successful preaching work in Antioch College.
Your idea of obtaining a vehicle for travelling around to many such engagements is nice. As sannyasi, you can ask somebody to give a nice truck for this cause. But you must have one brahmachary as your assistant. So if you make a traveling program, it will be very, very nice. A sannyasi requires to travel as much as possible. So Krishna is giving you now the chance. You should carry out this opportunity very carefully and with good sense also.
Regarding collecting monev, a sannyasi’s name is vikshu, or licensed begger. Not only sannyasi, but a brahmachary also is required to collect for his Spiritual Master. The Spiritual Master spends for missionary activities. So in the beginning you may feel some inconvenience to collect because you are not accustomed, but if you try for it, depending on Krishna, there will be no difficulty.
For developing the New Vrindaban scheme you shall require such help from the richer circles. We are trying to give some valuable service to the society, and at least some people must know it and appreciate. It doesn’t matter whether they contribute or not. But they must be informed at least about the Krishna Consciousness Movement. The collection is not by any force, rather it is voluntary. If they are convinced of our good work, surely they will come forward with some contribution.
Please offer my blessings to the others. I hope this will meet you in good health.

A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
News From the Village — First Prabhupada DVD Night
Last night was the first Prabhupada DVD night and there were a few devotees who attended. We had maha prasadam instead of popcorn and want to plan on popcorn for the next time. In fact, we want to announce that the next time will be Thursday night, June 19th at 5:30p.m. to 7 or 7:30 p.m. These DVD’s cover a lot and the first one is over 2 and 1/2 hours (we only watched a portion on Friday). So, depending on what the devotees want, we could either have shorter viewing times, one hour to one and 1/2 hours (so each DVD would last 2 weeks), or we could watch one long video per sitting.  It is up to the devotees wishes.
So, if there is any feedback, please send me an email at aheartconnection@gmail.com. Also, if you plan on coming please send an RSVP so that we can have plenty of popcorn for everyone.
Your servant,
Sukhavaha dasi

My Dear Kirtanananda,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letters dated September 1st and 6th, 1969, and I have also received the Bhaktishastri examinations from New Vrindaban along with the contribution for our book fund.
Hayagriva is here with me in England, and things are progressing nicely so far as Krishna Consciousness propagation is concerned. When I arrived here on the 11th September, there were more than one dozen reporters there to take pictures of the reception. The next day there were several articles published in the local papers, and I am enclosing one such article for your reference.
I am very pleased to learn that you are going to Ohio to preach after Janamastmi Day, and I shall be glad to know of your experience in this connection.
This evening there is scheduled a program of chanting and kirtan at the Town Hall, and there are similarly many other big engagements for us here. Most probably I shall be returning to the USA by November.
Please offer my blessings to the others. I hope this will meet you all in good health.
Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
