New Vrindaban’s Transcendental “Throwback Thursday” – 01/30/14
New Vrindaban’s Transcendental “Throwback Thursday” – 01/30/14.
Each week we highlight an earlier era of ISKCON New Vrindaban.
This week’s challenge: Identify the two devotees in the photo.
Extra credit: Name the two horses as well.
Post your guesses on the “who, what, when & where” in the comment section at the New Vrindaban Facebook Page.
Technical stuff: We share the photo Thursday and confirm known details Sunday. Let’s keep it light and have a bit of fun!
Special request: If you have a photo showing New Vrindaban devotees in action, share it with us and we’ll use it in a future posting.

This week was a stumper. No one was able to ID everyone in the photo.
Several people correctly identified one devotee, but no one named the other.
A few people guessed about the horses, but we weren’t able to confirm their names.
Here’s the info we have:
Who (from left to right):
Paramananda (Left, in driver’s seat, wearing blue overalls.)
Unknown (Right, crouched, wearing a red sweater. It was suggested it might be Murari Gupta.)
Horses: Many think it is Tom & John. Others think it might be Ranchor and Saivya.
What: Hauling manure to spread in the fields.
When: Early 1970s
Where: The base of the driveway at Bahulaban, New Vrindaban.
Photographer unknown.
